Lucy has a BFA from Elam School of Fine Art (AKL/NZ)

After 10 years of running her own successful Photography Business, Lucy picked up the brush in 2019 to pursue a Painting career. Since then she has become a full time Artist working from her home studio in a quiet seaside village north of Auckland, with her husband & 3 children

She is represented in both Australia & top New Zealand Galleries

Her pieces combine acrylics & oil pastels to create intuitive abstract pieces with deep undertones, often with velvety forest greens, earthy golds & burnt umber, layered with clay pinks, turquoise & yellow ochre.

The paintings play with the idea of physical & emotional landscapes as one, transforming grief of lost mother, into beauty.

She is interested in the way colour balances each other through the composition of forms & expressive marks, in turn the painting becomes a source of energy to a space, bringing about a sense, feeling or emotion

Natural earth elements, metaphysics & nostalgia play a huge part in her work
