Lucy holds a BFA from Elam School of Fine Arts in Auckland, New Zealand.
Represented by leading galleries across Australia and New Zealand, Lucy creates intuitive abstract paintings using acrylic and oil pastel. Her work explores the convergence of physical and emotional landscapes, transforming themes of grief, dreams, love and hope into richly layered compositions.
Her practice is defined by generous, gestural layering of acrylic and oil pastel, creating rich and expressive forms. Through this process, Lucy invites viewers to linger, encouraging a deeply
personal connection with the work and the emotions it evokes.
Lucy's paintings are rooted in a deep sense of place and of belonging, while remaining emotionally open, playful and quietly romantic.
Through a nuanced palette of soft, earthy tones and expressive abstraction, her works create spaces of reflection, offering a lasting sense of warmth, connection, and emotional resonance.
