Lucy holds a BFA from Elam School of Fine Arts in Auckland, New Zealand
After a decade of running a successful photography business, she shifted her focus to painting in 2019. Now based in a peaceful seaside village north of Auckland, Lucy works from her home studio alongside her husband and three children
Represented in both top galleries across Australia and New Zealand, Lucy blends acrylics and oil pastels to create intuitive, abstract works that evoke deep emotional resonance. Her pieces are often infused with rich, velvety forest greens, earthy golds, burnt umbers, and delicate clay pinks and turquoise
Lucy's paintings explore the fusion of physical and emotional landscapes, transforming her experience of places, memories, emotions and grief into beauty
She is drawn to the dynamic interplay of colors, shapes, and expressive marks, crafting works that serve as powerful sources of energy. Each painting creates a unique atmosphere, evoking a distinct feeling that resonates within a space
